    Preconception Services

We can meet before you’ve conceived your baby to discuss optimal ways to enhance fertility and maximize your chances of conceiving naturally and preparing emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This consultation will include fertility awareness and charting your cycle, going over any menstrual or hormonal imbalances you’ve experienced in the past. Our focus is holistic, taking into account nutrition and lifestyle choices affecting fertility. We can also discuss insemination options and work with women who are in relationships with other women as well as single moms.

    Well Woman Care

You can come to a midwife for some of your primary care needs, including Pap smears, breast exams, and physicals. I also offer family planning and natural birth control consultation.

    Nutrition Services

Holistic nutrition is one of my specialties. I can meet with you to discuss your nutritional status and offer menus and specific foods, depending on your needs. We can cook together if you’d like, or you can hire me to be your personal chef. Nutrition is the basis of health and wellness.

Nutrition counseling is included in your prenatal and postpartum care.

    Breastfeeding Consultation

Breastfeeding, though a natural process, may take time and lots of patience to establish a good latch, recognize hunger cues, and alleviate many breastfeeding issues. I teach breastfeeding classes and have worked with hundreds of women to ensure their babies get the best: the breast.

Breastfeeding services are included in your postpartum care within the scope of my practice. I am available as a breastfeeding consultant for any woman desiring these services, even if we don’t work together during your pregnancy and/or birth.

Prenatal yoga and yoga with your baby

Yoga contributes to your overall health. It strengthens your muscles, bones, and tendons, relaxes your nerves, puts you in touch with your growing baby and your body, and allows you to experience moments of bliss and transformation.

Prenatal yoga focuses on your changing body and includes poses that open your pelvic region, help with back strain, bringing awareness to your body mechanics, posture, and breath patterns. Each session includes a meditation with visualization, asana practice, pranayama, and relaxation. Prenatal yoga can help you experience a natural birth.

Many women can begin very simple posses several weeks after their baby’s birth. Generally, women can resume their yoga practice around ten to twelve weeks following the birth, starting off gently. Yoga with your baby is an enjoyable way to spend time with your little one while taking good care of yourself and can create healthy patterns for the future.

Always check with your provider to ensure that your body is ready to begin yoga or other exercises.
